Today's my first real day home alone with the baby. All the grandparents have gone home, and The Husband is working a regular day. So far, things are going pretty well. I got in breakfast and lunch, and was even able to take a shower. Granted, I had to stop in the middle of getting ready several times, and I spent a lot of time walking around the bedroom in my underwear trying to get M. to settle down, but I did get through the whole process. We've had some fussy times - and more spitting up than usual - but all in all, I'm feeling extremely lucky. We even got a shared nap in.
I did try to put M. in the sling so I could take her around the house with me, but it didn't go very well. She slept soundly in it the other day, but she got grumpy about it today. It's just going to take more practice, I guess.
We should probably try to get out of the house one of these days, but by the time I get us both in a state suitable for public viewing, I'm too tired to actually go anywhere.
