It's been a very hard time for mamas in Suspensefuland. In the past week, an acquaintance had an emergency c-section at 34 weeks, my pre-natal yoga instructor miscarried her first pregnancy, and a friend just found out through ultrasound that her baby has no heartbeat - she has to be induced and deliver the fetus today. I feel so useless to comfort them, since my healthy belly would get in the way of anyone I reached out to. I feel like my mere physical presence is gloating. I don't know what to do. Especially since my strongest desire is to curl up on the couch with my arms around my belly and sit very still until my due date. Everything feels more fragile.
