Just saw the baby move. Like, from the outside. I'm sure there have been kicks before now that were strong enough to be visible, but I was never looking at the right time. It's pretty strange, seeing your body move that much without making any conscious effort to cause it. And by "strange" I mean "mind-numbingly amazing." It still astonishes me to realize that there's a person in there.

I was talking to another mom about the whole baby movement thing and how the experts like to freak us out about it. They tell you that once you start feeling movement, that you should continuing feeling a pretty consistent amount of movement from there on out. Which is stressful if you're not paying attention and can't remember the last time you felt a kick. Which is usually when the baby is asleep, so you just sit there thinking "Please move, please move, please move" until something finally happens. So actually being able to see movement, knowing that the baby is getting big and strong enough to been seen and felt, is really reassuring.
